  1. Seventeen SNPs exhibiting genome-wide significant associations with RA were tested for their association with AD risk using allelic models in a Mayo Clinic AD GWAS series of 843 AD and 1264 non-AD individuals. Three of the seventeen RA-associated SNPs were nominally associated with AD (p < 0.05). Multiple testing was addressed by applying a Bonferroni (BF) correction for the number of tests performed. The only SNP that retained significance after BF correction was rs2837960 (p = 0.03). NR = value not reported in initial study.
