Decreased IL-1β gene expression in the brain of controls and APP swe /PS1-MyD88+/- mice. Quantification of IL-1β mRNA expression by Q-PCR of 6 month-old mice revealed significant differences between the different mouse strains. Indeed, higher brain IL-1β mRNA levels were found in APPswe/PS1 mice compared to those measured in WT, MyD88+/- and APPswe/PS1-MyD88+/- mice.
