Aβ42 accumulates in immature lysosomes. The co-localization of Aβ42 and LAMP-1 positive lysosomes increases from 24 h to 24 h + 12 days (a). LysoTracker staining does not overlap with the Aβ42 protofibril inclusions, demonstrating that the Aβ42 containing lysosomes are immature (b).
