Atm −/− mice with abnormal thymus (enlarged thymus or visible thymic tumor) have significant lower blood glutamine concentration compared to Atm −/− mice with normal thymus. Wild type mice with normal thymus (WT, n = 15, 7 males and 8 females); Atm−/− mice were divided in to two groups: normal thymus (n = 8, 4 males and 4 females) and abnormal thymus (n = 6, 4 males and 2 females). Statistical significance was calculated using two-tailed t-test: ** = p < 0.01; n.s. (not significant, p > 0.05). Values represent means and standard errors
