Relative transcript levels of HML-2 loci in ALS and control samples deduced from the gag amplicon. Numbers are based on relative cloning frequencies of gag amplicon-derived cDNA sequences assignable to different HML-2 loci. Results for tissue samples from motor cortex (motor), occipital cortex (occi) and spinal cord (sc) are each summarized as percentages. Numbers of patients and control donors per tissue type are indicated above each bar.
