In situ localization of enzymatic activity in native PAGE separated proteins. Two fractions (fr. #35 and #38 with either no activity or with activity) were separated on a 10% Tris-glycine gel. The location of enzymatic activity was revealed thereafter by soaking the gel in fluorogenic quenched FRET peptide Ng70–78 (5-FAM_Ng70–78_QXL520). Note that only fraction #38 showed a band of fluorescence but not the nearby inactive fraction #35). The Coomassie-stained corresponding gel showed presence of proteins in both fractions.
