LY-411575 treatment had no effect on the size of individual plaques in APPswe/PS1dE9xYFP mice. Individual, identified plaques were monitored with longitudinal imaging during the course of the treatment using multiphoton microscopy. Plaques in control treated animals did not change in size, as previously described [25, 26]. Existing plaques in the treated mice were also unaffected; we did not detect a treatmentXsession effect [F(3,218) = 1.087; P = 0.356] or a treatment effect. However, there was a trend towards a slight reduction in plaque size at 2 weeks that was maintained until the end of the treatment. Data are representative of 16–57 plaques from 6–7 animals.
