Vaccination with 3A oligomer mimic strongly reduces levels of Aβ40 and Aβ42 in brain. Following 3–14 months of treatment, levels of soluble and insoluble levels Aβ40 and Aβ42 on homogenates of the whole brain hemisphere of Tg2576 mice were determined by ELISA. 3A peptide treatment waswas associated with significantly lower levels of both soluble and insoluble Aβ40 and Aβ42. The insuluble levels were represented in pg/mg of tissue. Error bars represent standard errors of the mean (n = 8). *p < 0.05 for soluble levels of Aβ40, *p < 0.01 for soluble and insoluble levels of Aβ42, by one-way ANOVA test.
