The effects of SZV558, SZV2220 and rasagiline (10 mg/kg i.p for 21 days each) on MPTP treated mice striatum using a subchronic (Tatton-Kish) model of PD. The MPTP group received vehicle treatment for the same period after the MPTP treatment. Dopamine content is expressed as pmol/mg protein. Symbols represent significant changes from saline treated (+++ P < 0.001), MPTP treated (***P < 0.001) and rasagiline treated animals, (# P < 0.05), respectively. Statistical analysis: one-way ANOVA followed by the Tukey test. Number of independent experiments: 8-12/group
