The majority of clinical AD cases as observed in the Mayo Clinic Brain Bank from 2007 to 2016 were found to have co-pathologies. Plus sign (+) in the column on pathological diagnosis of AD indicates additional pathologies beyond the primary and secondary diagnoses listed. Secondary AD indicates a primary pathological diagnosis other than Alzheimer’s disease though AD changes are noted and contributing.
