Aberrant cryptic RNAs accumulate in the amygdala and hippocampus of AD-TDP. Cryptic RNA (STMN2, KCNQ2, UNC13A, CAMK2B, and SYT7) levels were measured by qRT-PCR in amygdala (A) and hippocampus (B) of controls (Ctrl: CN, represented by white circles + AD no TDP, represented by orange circles), AD-TDP, and FTLD-TDP cases.
